This pendant is a beautiful solid Koroit Opal from Queensland Australia. There are amazing patterns of opal embedded in the rich natural chocolate ironstone. It is a large 72 cts stone.
The stone has been wire-wrapped with sterling silver wire and put on a 14 mm sterling silver enhancer to allow the pendant to be worn on various different necklaces. The pendant looks lovely on a silver chain, a string of pearls or a coordinating necklace.
The pendant measures 70 mm x 28mm (2 3/4 x 1 1/8 inches) and is 10 mm (3/8 inches) thick. It has been wire-wrapped with 22 gauge sterling silver wire using 5 strands.
